No added “forever chemical” finishes
Our fabrics are not treated to add water, stain or moisture-wicking performance using PFAS-based finishes.
Fabric & ink safety
Our approach is simple: choose beautiful materials, avoid unnecessary performance treatments and be transparent about how our printed fabrics are prepared.
Our fabrics are not treated to add water, stain or moisture-wicking performance using PFAS-based finishes.
Our printed designs use inks supplied and certified as AZO-free for textile production.
Fabric is washed using reverse-osmosis filtered water as part of the production process.
Claims such as water-resistant, stain-resistant, moisture-wicking or quick-dry can require additional chemical treatments. Those features are not part of our fabric brief. We prefer pieces that feel soft, breathe naturally and are cared for according to their fibre composition.
Colour is central to Claire Powell, but so is the process behind it. Our printed textiles use AZO-free inks supplied for textile printing. This supports our aim to avoid restricted AZO colourants while keeping the vividness and clarity our designs are known for.
Our production process includes washing with reverse-osmosis filtered water. This helps prepare the finished fabric before it becomes a garment.
“PFAS-free finish” and “AZO-free ink” describe manufacturing choices; they are not medical or hypoallergenic guarantees. Individual sensitivities vary. If you have a known textile sensitivity, check the fibre information and speak with a health professional if needed.
Follow the care label on the individual piece. In general, gentle washing, avoiding harsh bleach and keeping garments out of high heat helps preserve both colour and fabric feel.
